This album was recorded in 1972 based around keyboardist and percussionist Bobby Hamilton.
At the time, it was released on a minor label in New York, and because of its great sound and scarcity, it was called a "rare masterpiece" by diggers.
Side A opens with "Pearl (Among The Swine)" a funky groove that starts with an electric piano and vibraphone interplay, followed by the mellow soul bossa "Priscilla" the Afro-jazz funk "In The Mouth Of The Beast" with a percussive beat and a horn section.
The B-side is "Roll Your Own" a fast-moving funk with impressive bass, and "Dream Queen" a superb slow ballad with electric piano and vibraphone that creates a sense of sadness.
All songs on this album are killer tunes that will convince anyone who listens to it.
This is the latest reissue of the album, digitally re-mastered from the original master tapes.
VGA releases the album on clear vinyl for a limited time.
鍵盤奏者、パーカッショニストでもあるボビー・ハミルトンを中心に1972年にレコーディング。当時はNYのマイナーレーベルからのリリースで、サウンドの素晴らしさと希少度が相まってディガーの間では"幻の名盤"と称されていました。A面はエレクトリックピアノとヴィヴラフォンの掛け合いからファンキーなグルーヴへとなだれ込む「Pearl (Among The Swine)」で始まり、メロウなソウル・ボッサ「Priscilla」、パーカッシヴなビートとホーン・セクションが絡み合うアフロ・ジャズ・ファンク「In The Mouth Of The Beast」。B面は印象的なベースの疾走感溢れるファンク「Roll Your Own」、そしてエレクトリックピアノとヴィヴラフォンが切なさを醸し出す極上のスローバラード「Dream Queen」。聴けば誰もが納得する全曲キラーチューンのアルバムです。
オリジナルのマスターテープから新たにデジタル・リマスタリングを施した最新仕様でのリイシュー。
VGAでは限定でクリア・ヴァイナルでの発売となります。
