WELDON IRVINE, most active during the 1970s, was a cutting-edge jazz musician, who, following a rediscovery and reevaluation in the 1990s, has garnered high acclaim from a wide range of fellow musicians. His music has also had a profound influence on the American hip-hop scene, where his legacy as one of jazz/soul/rare groove's finest artists continues to grow.

We will be selling T-shirts from his masterpiece album "Time Capsule".

70年代に活躍したWELDON IRVINEはジャズの分野において先鋭的なスタイルで活動し、その結果、彼の残した楽曲は90年代以降にカテゴリーを超えて広い範囲で高く評価されました。特にアメリカのHIP HOPシーンに多大な影響を与え、現在でもジャズ／ソウル／レアグルーヴを象徴するアーティストとして語り継がれています。
今回は彼の最高傑作と言われるアルバム"Time Capsule"のTシャツを販売します。

Important tracks from Weldon Irvine's masterpiece "Time Capsule" are now available on 10" vinyl. Side A includes two versions of the rare groove classic "Deja Vu", the original version and a shorter version.
The first track on side B, "Feelin' Mellow," is a quality soul number co-written and performed with Johnny King of the FATBACK BAND.
The next song, "Watergate---Don't Bug Me!" is over 7 minutes of freaky funk, a jam session that gets more intense as the second half progresses.

ウェルドンの代表作「Time Capsule」の重要な楽曲を10インチEPでアナログ・カット！A面にはレアグルーヴ・クラシックの「Deja Vu」をオリジナル・ヴァージョンとショート・ヴァージョンの2ヴァージョンで収録。B1の「Feelin' Mellow」はFATBACK BANDのジョニー・キングと共作、共演した上質なソウル・ナンバー。B2の「Watergate---Don't Bug Me!」は7分以上に及ぶフリーキーなファンクで、後半に進むにつれ激しさを増していくジャム・セッションです。

[ Notice of Agreement Concerning the Acquisition of WELDON IRVINE's Master Recording and copyrights ]

P-VINE is proud to announce that we have acquired the catalog and associated copyrights owned by the estate of American musician Weldon Irvine, including works released from Nodlew Music, hitherto unreleased works, and other master recording rights and copyrights owned by the manager of the estate and Irvine’s widow Pauline Cole.
To further highlight the genre and generation bridging music of Weldon Irvine, P-VINE, Inc. will now manage all music formerly owned by the Irvine estate, including unreleased songs, and accompanying artwork, and will be responsible for the productions of records and CDs, as well as related apparel. We plan on beginning with reissues from Irvine’s catalog.

WELDON IRVINEの原盤権・著作権取得に関する契約締結のお知らせ

株式会社Pヴァインはアメリカ合衆国のアーティスト、WELDON IRVINE（ウェルドン・アーヴィン）の作品のうち、彼が設立したNodlew Musicの作品を中心に、関連作品や未発表作品も含め、ご遺族が権利を所有する全楽曲の原盤権、並びに彼の全ての著作権において、所有者であったご遺族で妻のPauline Cole氏との間で取得する契約を締結しましたのでお知らせいたします。
世代を超えて支持されるWELDON IRVINEの楽曲の魅力をより多くの人に伝えていくべく、未発表曲も含む全作品、楽曲、付随するアートワークについては今後、株式会社Pヴァインが管理させていただき、レコード、CDの製造および関連するアパレルなどを手がけていきます。まずは順次、カタログのリイシューを発売していく予定です。
