Maggot Brain, one of the most radical records of the era and a signature work of Funkadelic, the one and only band that attempted to fuse psychedelic rock and funk, is now available in a 2-LP set for the 50th anniversary of the band. The cover is gatefold, and the vinyl is colored vinyl (disc 1: blue & splatter red, disc 2: clear vinyl).
Also included as bonus tracks are two versions of the title track: side A is a live version from Meadowbrook, 1971, and B-side features a remix by Brendan M. Gillen, which was only included on the CD of Funkadelic's Reworked By Detroiters! The VGA will be selling it with the original Japanese obi as a bonus (the obi is wrapped over the shrink so as not to damage the original).

またボーナス・トラックとしてタイトル曲の2つのバージョンを収録。A面は1971年のメドウブルックでのライヴ・ヴァージョン。B面はファンカデリックのリミックス集、『Reworked By Detroiters』のCDにのみ収録されていたBrendan M. Gillenによるリミックスが収録！
